I became vegan last October and it has taken my fitness level to a whole new level. I would like to share that same experience with you. I am NOT trying to make everyone a vegan, but we can all stand to increase our fruit and veggie intake. And since I am still new to this and learning new recipes, I have partnered with a vegan professional, The Brown Vegan, to help create some awesome meal ideas.
Brown Vegan: She is a wife and mother of 3 boys. She has a passion for helping families and individuals learn more about a plant-based diet. She makes veganism approachable and easy for the everyday person. And most importantly she uses pictures and videos to show as well as tell how to create family friendly meals. So check out her feature post each Friday here on my blog!
“In nearly two years, I have transformed the way I feed my family. We literally went from eating fish sticks and other boxed foods to delicious black bean tacos and drinking daily green smoothies. Even though I am technically the only vegan in my house, my family has come a long way in eating better.”
“Changing my eating habits over the last couple of years has not only allowed me to improve the health of my family, but also help in boycotting the inhumane treatment of animals in factory farms, and promote better environmental practices. There’s nothing special about me-If I can do it, so can YOU.”

I follow brownvegan and love her recipes. Thanks for adding her information here as well. As a MD licensed massage therapist, I find many people in the are to be resistant towards a vegan diet and exercising. My challenge is just finding the time as I work 10 hours or more day…any advic on how to fit in some exercises during the day?….check out my website: http://www.lifeessencemassage.com for mobile massages in the DMV area.
